Saw Cornell play 5 or 6 times last year. Ivy games & non-conference. Coach Ford recruits out of the Stanford camp, as do most Ivy schools. Cornell played for the Ivy championship against Harvard last season.

His players were BIG. Lots of offense. NO late inning pitching. Lost lots of leads late in the games I saw. Dartmouth swept them last year. Smile
Have only been within 30 miles of Cornell but talked with a lot of people in the area. If you or your son is considering the school, you have to visit...in January. Coming from a sunshine area, you have to realize it is cold...very cold and cold most of the entire season. Some can do it and some can't but make sure there is a visit so you know the weather is not an issue, especially coming from TX.
I saw Cornell play Binghamton this past spring on Cornell's field. It is a decent field. It features a VERY shallow center field. There is a large dorm right across the street from center field. Several students hanging at the game. I didn't look for or visit any of the indoor facilities for the baseball team.

Cornell has a huge campus. My guess is that it is the largest Ivy League school. If you're interested you should visit. Upstate NY is a beautiful part of our country. Ithaca is way out in the sticks, even compared to Hanover.
