Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids Michigan officially named their coaching staff at their groundbreaking ceremony November 2nd.

We are actively looking for qualified players who also fit the non-denominatinal christian school and its mission. We have 12 full scholarships, play nationally ranked teams in our non-conference schedules. Our stadium will be ready for the fall season in late August. Any help recruiting players would be greatly appreciated.

As Chuck and I start this journey together, we would like to thank the many coaches here in Northern Illinois. Men like Coach Glen Pecoraro, Dave Haskins and many more who modeled excellence in so many different ways. You have encouraged us to never stop learning and to demand excellence both on and off the field.

Proud to be from Illinois and won't forget where home is !!

I had never heard of this program until they showed up at the WWBA Championship in Jupiter, FL., last month.

I think their appearance there speaks volumes regarding what they plan to accomplish. You don't spend the time and money to go to that event unless you have very big plans. I'm betting that we will hear a lot more about Cornerstone over the next few years. All baseball lovers should be excited when new programs are started. Opportunities increase for young players. I hope we get the opportunity to help this program a little.

I sometimes wonder if many people know about the level of play or the opportunities that exist at NAIA baseball. Many outstanding players get financial offers from NAIA schools that are better than what NCAA schools can offer.

Wish the NAIA facilities we played in were that nice back then (guess same could be said for the DII & DII levels as well).

Best of luck, that facility plus the solid money available at the NAIA level should help greatly in getting things started.

Thank you mr19. The construction and warm weather have given us a real jump start on the stadium. The recruiting is going very well. We still have dollars for some addditional pitching and defense. Looking for a legit center fielder that can run and go get it. And...pitching pitching pitching.

No secrets here...pitching and defense wins. Very fortunate to have Chuck Lowitzki as our recruiting coordinator and pitching coach. Miss Illinois and the many years with Glen Pec.
