At our sons last away game, there was a stud player on the opposing team. He is a senior and there were a few pro guys there to watch him. After the game, some of our teams parents said one of the scouts came around wanting to know my sons name and graduating year. We were flattered and elated to say the least, as our son is a junior. My question is, will the scout write his name in a little black book and check back on him maybe or do they do their own research on kids, etc. Maybe he will do nothing but it sure got my kid amped up! Thanks!

Usually the scout would already know your sons name and year.  If not he would usually ask the coach.  But sometimes in the interest of time and effort they might just ask someone in the crowd. It sounds like this might have been a bird dog (associate) scout. However, either way it's always good when they show interest in your son.  Yes, if he really likes your son enough, he (the scout) will keep track of him.  Possibly make a note to be sure to see him the following year. None of this is for sure, but it's all good.

Best of luck!
