Man I thought this year would be a better year in our local league. I am tired of seeing parents and coaches not getting along with each other and taking Little League too far. Little League is developmental baseball; even High School for that matter.

A local coach was kicked out of the League this year for attacking another coach (wrestling him to the ground and punching him in the face twice) while 10 year old players on both teams watched in horror. Wow!

Is this happening in your neck of the woods? If so, what are your thoughts as to how we put a handle on this type of behavior?

I had mentioned in another thread about a coach in my daughter's softball league. He was just a bad person and had to be my daughter's coach this past winter. I hated coaching with him. I had a confrontation iwht him when he told his daughter some rather mean things in front of the 8 year olds.

This Spring season, he get suspended for two games and followed for the season but his daughter could still play. Well, this weekend the league VP asked him to leave the park. The ex-coach didn't like it, called the police saying he was being harassed and proceeded to punch the league VP in the face in front of his daughter the VP's daughter and a bunch of girls.....and in front of the police.
Nothing physical, but a local "travel light" coach was kicked out of a game then out of the ballpark after he continued to berate the umpires from the stands. Local league no longer allows him to coach travel, but he coaches rec where they can keep an eye on him. I did not see the incident, but trust the people who told me of it.
