I got an e-mail from Creighton University today inviting me to their camps this fall, and I was just wondering if anybody has recieved these and knows about Creighton's reputation as far as camps go? Useful or mostly a money-maker? Do any other universities attend? It said that half of their current roster attended these camps at one time or another so that was promising.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;

My son went to a Creaghton camp. It was good. Creighton coaches were there. He was recruited but did not go there. It is a D1 school, so does your son measure up to that level now? We found if you want your son noticed at the camp-or any camp- you need to contact the head coach and let him know who your son is and stats b/4 he goes. Then make sure he greets the Head Coach upon arrival. This does not conflict with NCAA rules. But does your son want to go to school there? Very expensive and competitive. Otherwise go to the camp at the school he wants to attend and save some $.

Baseballkid, you have a PM.
Also received an email about the camp, pretty sure it is just a list because I am not close to Creighton and had not attended any events they would be present at given the distribution of their roster (just a guess though).

If you are interested in Creighton and think you can play there, it can't hurt. Whether it is sent to a bunch of people shouldn't matter.
