JJ2:

Columbia Union College (CUC) mission is to inspire and train students to be of service to God and humanity, and to live out that calling every day.

For the NCAA DII Baseball at CUC, Coach Ricucci takes over reigns as the new head Coach for the 2005-06 season being responsible for 2004-2005 pitching coach duties.

For 2004-05 season, CUC practiced and played home games away from CUC's Takoma Park campus at several accessible fields:
- Montgomery Blair HS in Silver Spring, MD
- ML King Regional (off NH Ave) and
- Cabin John Regional (in Bethesda, MD)

For 2006, Coach Ricucci anticipates a 47+ game schedule (played 18 games in 2005) and opens and closes an aggressive schedule with away/home contests with Mary Washington College.

Prior to the successful 2003 season, CUC practiced and played home games at Wheaton Regional (as shared with Good Counsel HS).

Overall, a 81 mph HS fastball with movement and some of your command may dominate a few of the CUC players.

Good Luck

Keep us informed.

Bear

Bear,

I do not see anyone in CUC's lineup who can not flat out hit. An 81 mph fastball will not likely overpower anyone in this lineup.

Let it be known that this team has turned a complete 180, and they will be definite contenders for a NCAA bid. They do not open their season to Mary Washington or Post University, but start their season with a home game at Shirley Povich versus Nyack College.
