I am happy for any kid that hits a homerun but can we put a moratorium on calling a home run a bbcor. Last I checked all high school players in Texas and the country are using the bbcor bat. Having said that all stats prior to the bbcor era should not be compared to the bbcor era; and for that matter the steroid bat era was not an indication of how good a hitter was because any player hitting during that era-stats are at best suspect.

I was poking fun at Aleebaba...a homer is a homer is a homer.

I'm so hurt. Truth be told he may or may not have used BBCIOR Bat. I never checked the sticker on the bat, nor did I look to see if the dampening materials inside the bat were removed. Let the controversy begin.
Midlothian beats Cedar Hill 4-0 behind a 4 hit shutout by Grant Freels and some stellar defense.

Caleb Hamrick pitched well but his defense made him have to throw a lot of extra pitches. The Panthers were able to hit a four doubles and 5 singles against him to score the four runs of which only 2 were earned.

Congrats Midlothian Panthers on great win.
CH played a good game behind solid pitching from C. Hamrick. They won the game 5-2 against Duncanville.

K. Miller pitched a very good game for Duncanville but unfortunate errors in the field lead to baserunners and additional runs.

Low light of game was a 10 minute dispute by Duncanville Head Coach over a player being called out on a ground ball back to pitcher when their coach thought it hit off the batter. The umpiring crew was not "on" tonight and the Home Plate Umpire didn't take control of the situation. He let the arguing go on for way too long and eventually the coach was tossed from the game.

Too bad this occurred tonight

Good times...good times. We had umpire "scene control" issues vs. Timberview for a period of that game as well.

Great pitcher and we didnt put our best foot forward. Nice field. If only the gentleman pounding the flag against the stands could do it the whole game instead of just half i think it would be my best baseball experience ever! :-)
The pounding of the flag poles on the metal stands at Legacy is extremely annoying. We experienced it last week. I can see doing it during big moments of the game, but the whole game? I was shocked to see it was parents, not kids making the noise. Seems to me that after a 5 or 6 run lead they could stop, but I guess everybody has their own traditions.
Hey Aleeblahblah,

You heard wrong, Midlo players had nothing do with that. Think someone else may have been responsible (possibly yall's coach) Wink

Caleb did pitch well, I doubt the sign really had anything to do with him pitching better than last time. Maybe your coach learned it is not a good idea to have him close out a game the day before he starts another game.

Good luck the rest of the way. Cool
