Bullwinkle: Maybe I should look into buying a team....(shuffling through wallet....diving into sofa....finding $1.36)

Mrs Bullwinkle: That Caramel Macchiato in your hand cost you $4.75, .....you have already spent your allowance. Maybe, if you learn from everyone else on this board, you could do something smart....you good for nothing elk! I know Its isn't the easiest person in this world to get along with, but that's no reason for you to act the way you do.

Bullwinkle: I act the way I do, because Its is a blabbermouth--a blabbermouth!

Mrs Bullwinkle: Bull, I have told you about that before. I don't want you calling him that.

Bullwinkle: All right. You're an expert at crossword puzzles. Give me another name for blabbermouth. No sooner does he comes in here, he starts in talking--"yabba yabba yabba." The minute he steps in till the minute he steps out he starts in on me: "Oh, if only I had my gun. Oh, Bullwinkle, why do you eat so much. You're so fat. Why don't you get some brains." Itsinthegame is nosy, no-zee. Snoopin' around. If there's anything I hate it's a nosy blabbermouth.

Mrs Bullwinkle: Now listen, Bull, I am warning you for the last time. You call him that once more and when itsinthegame leaves here tonight I just might go with him!

Bullwinkle: All right, I won't say a word. I won't say a word to you or to itsinthegame.

Damon is a good player who will be remebered for his grannie in the 2004 ALCS Game 7. He's a good leadoff guy with good range in the outfield, but he can't throw the ball from me to you. He ain't Mickey Mantle or even Bobby Mercer. I understand the move, on both sides.

Henry was actually outbid for the Red Sox by about $50 million, I believe by Frank McCourt who later bought the Dodgers. Henry bought the Marlins from Wayne Huizinga in 1999 after they had already started blowing up the team, but he certainly completed the job. The Red Sox revenues are so much bigger than the Marlins.

Henry getting the Red Sox was part of a three way deal that gave the Marlins to the Expos owner, who gave the Expos to MLB.

The former Red Sox owner, The Yawkey Trust who basicly just does charitible works in the northeast got jobbed out of about $50,000,000 by MLB in the sale of the team, so they could contract/sell/move the Expos.

The re-structuring of the Sox has less to do with dollars than sense. They made mistakes. Edgar Rentaria was a huge bust, and cost the Sox $23,000,000 for one year after they pay his salary to play for the Braves. They let Derek Lowe go in his prime, signing Matt Clement who couldn't get an out after catching a liner with his brain in June. Bad luck I guess. Now they have Josh Beckett, a .500 pitcher with two good games against the Yankees (2003 WS).

They made plenty of great moves as well, resulting in 2004, and perhaps the best was pulling Nomar's 4 year/$60,000,000 offer off the table the year before.

They need a CF, 1B, SS, a durable RF and a number 1 starter if Schilling stinks again, other than that, they look great. Smile
