Wow! That did not take very long! Maybe he can find a team to manage in Cuba, lol!
Where'd you hear that? Nothing from Marlins beat writers, as of yet... rumor within organization is there's 80% chance he'll be back...
ESPN is reporting that the Marlins are aggressively seeking a replacement.

What does thread have to do with high school baseball?
I'm pretty sure Ozzie played HS baseball in Columbia or Cuba or whatever country he came from.
Rootin' for my boy Barkett to get the gig...
Loria should take the position himself.
That way when he fires the next manager he will actually be firing the person responsible for the problems with the team.
Ozzie was a clown, they knew he was a clown when they hired him. Did they think he was going to change?
Don't forget the guy that hired Ozzie also signed stars such as Heath Bell and John Buck.
Of course the one constant thing besides Loria has been the front office staff for the past decade.
If I'm not mistaken there isn't a single FIRST round draft pick they have made that ended the season on a MLB roster this year. (Unless Coghlan was a late call up - can't remember)
How is it possible to be that inept and still have a job? How can you miss on every single first round pick?
Heck in 2005 they picked FIVE pitchers in the first round and missed on all of them.
Either their draft team has the worst luck in history - or they just plain suck.
