How does this work..

If a kid is a freshman at a Junior college, and is good enough to play at a D1 school maybe right after his freshman year, how does he go about doing this. Obviously the Junior College coach will not really try and help the kid find a D1 program until his Sophomore year. Will the Juco coach even tell the kid D1 schools are interested in him. Are the D1 schools allowed to contact the kid? Or does he have to go through his coach? Anything on this subject would be great.

Transfer questions are tough to answer because there are so many variables. I suggest reading the JC Transfer guidelines start on page 9: Div I/II/III Transfer Guidelines, then contact the NCAA directly with your specific questions.
