Unfortunately, you can only get a minor bump in your GPA if you get all A's. Because it's an average it's quite impossible at the very end to try and fix your GPA.

Dont give up in any event as you might put yourself on the cusp and then it's up to the Univ to decide if you can be a successful student.

It's easy to figure out what your GPA would be if you get all A's.
ok. thanks for the reply. It's not like my grades are bad. I just need to get it up .2 points to get it to where I want.

I think me going to a tough college prepatory school will come into the equation as well.

I still have ACT's and SAT's to look forward to so I don't think I'm in any sort of trouble.

Again thanks for the reply.
you have a 3.0 the first semester and below a 3.0 the second.I notice your from Ohio, were from Ca. These grades would not get you into a UC college unless your SATs were off the chart. You could get into a state school here.I dont know what criteria the schools in Ohio have, but in Ca. its tough and very competitive.
I would say if a student is not a 4.0 and above with stellar SAT scores,I would advise most to try and stay at a 3.5 or better. That will keep you with several options, maybe not IVY but with baseball a 3.5 can keep a lot of doors open.
Also for some if you go to a junior college, it is much easier to get into a good four year if you stay 3.0 or higher.
Keep working at it, colleges also like to see grades go up as this shows maturity and progrssion as a student.Work hard this year,it always matters.
According to the athletic directors of several Ivy's they set aside a certain amount of Athletic Admits as they called it. Personal interviews with the ADs and the Pres of the NCAA admitted this in a PBS documentary. It was part of a 2 hr documentary and showed a recent attempt by some academics to challenge this at several colleges. It was a very interesting documentary. Also a poster hear has shown actual sats scores and GPAs that are not Ivy standards. Ever college understands the value of a broad student base. many also use a bell curve to adjust marks.
Yes no BB money but lots of assistance from a wealthy alumni that like sports.

If you are a great player an Ivy might take you as an athletic admit. make sure your Act or Sat is reasonable and go through the coach. Colleges that give BB scholarships won't be as happy if you don't qualify for academic money but they will find some BB money for you.

AZ Fall Classic

A very good event, a lot of teams and many fields, highly recommend going with a strong team which the coaches and scouts will migrate to as they will float around to see certain guys.

If you attend and you have certain schools you are interested in, my recommendation is to contact them and let them know you are going and what team you are on.

A lot of West Coast schools if that is what you are interested in...

Yes. I would really like to end up west. A Juco right now is recruiting me from the AZ area. The assistant coach has invited me onto his showcase team for the event.

I'm responsible for all the expenses so I'm just making sure it's worth it.
