Son received offer from lower level D1 that is out of state so it comes with out of state tuition also has considered jucos and has received offers from average jucos in state. Anyone have experience with either of these scenarios?

There are lots of good posts on this topic. The main thrust is that a good JUCO is an excellent avenue to continue development and hopefully improve and move on to a better/higher D1 program. I am sure others will comment but will likely want to know the state (California is much different than Mississippi).

IMHO the goal s/b to get into a program interested in your son that plays in a top level conference. This is especially true for a position player if the goal is to play professionally. A "lower level" ACC or SEC or Pac10 team will face top level pitching in every game of a conference series...with scouts watching.
