Our 2018 was contacted via email a month ago by 2 D3 schools who had seen him play both this season and last fall.  Both schools said we see you as a fit, etc and want you to come visit AND please be patient as this recruiting process takes a while, new recruiting coordinators.  It was not a camp invite. They said they would be in touch and feel free to reach out to them.  Haven’t heard from them.  Sent one email last week and no response.  Are they waiting for the signing day to pass?  Is this the normal process for D3s?  He hasn’t applied to the schools bc I specifically remember hearing one of these schools wanting the application to go through them.

My son was not even contacted by any D3's until after the signing period, when he did not commit, so while your son has been in contact with a couple of schools realize the process is shifted later for D3's unless it is a very high academic and they want him to go through an early decision process.  Also recognize that teams right now are likely wrapping up their fall practices and many have "fall world series" competition going on, so the coaching staff is likely distracted.
