Northwestern's Dan Brauer (Wheaton-Warrenville South) threw the school's first no-hitter since 1999 Sunday against Michigan State. Only two runners reached base. One on a dropped third strike and another on a walk. Dan is now 6-1 on the season. All of his wins have been complete games.

Congratulations to Dan a quality young man who played in Chicago, stayed in Chicago for college and is a lock for the draft this year. I believe that he did not hurt his draft status by staying in the area for college and may even have helped it. On top of that he will end up the year with a Northwestern University diploma.
