Get, you may want to explore all options to get your son invited to the Stanford All Star Camp, but if that has not been done it could be too late for this summer. You will find a large number of top academic schools have coaches there including many of the Ivy league schools; Dartmouth almost always attends. If you are looking at top academics, do not forget the DIII options where they also have nationally ranked baseball programs. For those of us in the West, I think they are referred to as "fly over" schools cause that is what we do to get to the Ivies. Johns Hopkins, Emory, Trinity U in San Antonio, as examples, will provide top baseball and top academics. Can assure you that there are many players at these programs who can be top players in the Ivy league. Good luck with your son's search.

Git, I fully understand how you feel. Luckily, my son made a great choice for him from one of schools I listed, was recruited by a marvelous coaching staff, graduated from college last June, and had a terrific college and baseball experience.
You are going to find a lot of helpful information on this site and some wonderful folks to provide input and guidance. Rest assured you are doing the right thing by asking questions. Sounds like your son must be a very good student and player. That will make the process a lot easier for you and him.
