TexasBbMom posted:I read the replies on this post about how beneficial it is to get on the top 2 teams. However, when I called DBAT, I was told that all the teams are even in abilities. Is that true? If not, how do I know which teams are the top two teams for 15u?
I have zero experience in the Texas Baseball arena but I can tell you that when the website lists that you have NINE 15u teams they are NOT all equal. We have a local organization in GA that has fourteen 16u teams, but everyone who is local knows only 2 of them count and the rest are treated more like fundraisers for teams to pay a crud load of money so they can say they are a team out of "_____ _____" You might have the name of the facility on your shirt, it might sound impressive that your son plays for a team out of that facility, but the reality is most of the teams don't even get practice times at the actual park, they really just pay for the use of the name.
I would suggest you go on the website and get the coaches email addresses and just throw out what I like to refer to as a ditzy blonde question:
"I'm sorry to bother you, but we are new to the area. I noticed your organization has nine 15u teams, can you please tell me which one or two is most likely to attend the PG world championships or the Connie Mack world series? Or does your organization just not go to those events? Once again, so sorry to bother you."
