DBAT Wood Bat tourney

Well, I'm not always as informed as you think.

The rumor floating my way is that the tournament will follow a double-elimination format -- beginning on Saturday morning. I will post when I know more.

Coaches, here is the current plan for the tournament this weekend. I’m postponing the start of the tournament until Saturday morning at 8:00 AM. The tournament will be broken up into pools and each team will pay two pools games and then move to bracket play. I will take the winner of each pool and 3 at larger teams for the Championship Bracket and the remaining teams will move to the Consolation Bracket. Each team will be guaranteed 3 games minimum

Looks like the 17 & 18 Arlington A's wood bat tournament is canceled all together.

We're still awaiting responses from teams as to whether they plan to play in the rain-shortened tourney. Need I say that I miss the Arizona climate....but not necessarily the Phoenix hospitality.

Hope we get it in because the kids love to break out the wood bats.

The original pools and brackets are posted on our DBAT website and will be updated with any new information.

What about playing with wood bats next year in the premier leagues at BBI?

Pools? You're having to look for pools??? I would think there would be plenty of swimming holes right now...

No formal poll has been taken but I would think DBAT would be all for it....

I'm afraid you are right. And the folks scheduled to play at Reverchon ... that park is underwater. Bring scuba gear. Splitter7 should have taken up an indoor sport. Dang!
