Has anyone had success with this velocity-increasing program? Dick claims thousands of happy customers, among them Barry Zito, whose father got him on the program. It is a bit pricey (DVD set and accessories go for approx. $397) but offers a velocity increase through better mechanics and other approaches. Just wondered if anyone on the HSBB web has actually tried it. Thanks.

I used to cruise the Mills web site. It had a lot of verbosity and redundancy but there were a few nuggets there that helped us quite a bit. I never bought the program because, after reading his free web site content, the impression I had was that it would be a lot more of the same. Mills' emphasis on proper arm action and trunk rotation were very helpful to me in helping my son develop velocity and spot control, though.

I would suggest you could do better with a good hands-on professional coach, as far as where to spend your money. But I think Infopimp is overly harsh in his assessment. Frankly, I've seen plenty of pitching programs that could not only not help, but actually do damage. Mills' program is certainly not going to do damage and I think it can help, esp. if you're not already practicing some of the fundamentals he stresses.
Dick Mills has changed his ideas or perhaps better said money making schemes more times than Liberachi changed his wardrobe in a concert. I had a set of his tapes given to me by my brotherinlaw and quite frankly after looking at them I came to the conclusion that Dick Mills at some point and time had extrememly successful charisma bypass surgery. Im all for being open to ideas and different techniques but I have yet to see a coach be able to BORE a person into becoming a better pitcher!
