I'm getting different interpretations from different partners on these rules.

1. Reebock Vector bat, has holes in the handle. Is that bat legal? One partner has disallowed it, another says it is OK. This bat is at the Bishop Mac Soph team. I have another game with them.

2. When does a batter surrender his right to run to first base on a drop 3rd strike(Fed rules)?
Has that changed? I was taught it was when the batter entered the dugout at the IOA clinic last month. I know OBR changed the rule to read when the batter leaves the plate area.

3. At my son's high school game this week, the umpire had them remove all of cushions from the knob of the bats. First time I had heard of this!

1. As a result of negotiations between FED and Reebock, and FED and Demarini, that bat and several other seemingly illegal bats were declared legal until 2012.

2. OBR changed their rule to leaving the dirt circle at home. FED has not changed their rule: dugout or other deadball area.

3 Don't know what he was thinking unless he decided they were safety issues.
