Dillon...Funny you put Merck in IF arm strength (i immediatly thought of him too) but i considered SS's. A few years back merck was a catcher (until he found out a guy named monk was ahead of him) merck has some incredible pop-times and of course a huge arm behind the dish.

This kid caught ever game in last year's JOs in 110+ degree heat. Kid keeps on going like the energizer bunny.

He washed four firetrucks on Sunday. I think that makes him a work engine...or not-so-smart in the speeding catagory. However, I'm thinking community service might have taught him a lesson.

I really like the way Dillion broke it down into every class. This really is an interesting way to see if other people are seeing the same things I am.

Scoops Hoover BY FAR has the best hands in the Junior class. Him and Rolen Tu' make for an incredible middle infield duo lead by the bat of Boomer Rakesalot and the speed of Jet Steeler!

Matt Shortall would throw every guy out if second base was in center field. He knows I'm joking.

Where does Colton (sp ?) Cain fit into the mix. I thought he should be a senior this year.

Cain is going to be a junior this year. I think he obviously fits well in the pitching categories(Best Stuff, Best fastball) and also even in the Raw Power. The only problem with him is that he may be physically maxed out. He does have the stuff and fastball to be a very good pitching prospect. He also has great athleticism in the field and at the plate. He is a very interesting kid to see but its hard to determine his growth.

I'm sure plenty of these Best Raw Arm Strength catchers could throw out tons of people in center......Minus the Thorpes, Loys, Morris's etc.

Maybe well see some of these catchers in the outfield if their arm leads them there.

Colton Cain is a junior.

Cain's FB has not progressed. You may be right - the domination he had as a youngster has not been there as a HS pitcher or summer leagues for that matter
