Dig In Baseball will be having tryouts for it's showcase teams on Saturday, November 5 at Poolesville High School. The tryout fee is $20. The tryout and evaluation of players will take place in a camp setting as players will also be receiving instruction from our coaching staff during the pro-style workout.


Class of 2015/2014 - 11am start

Class of 2013/2012 - 2:30pm start


The Class of 2015, 2014, and 2013 teams will be playing in team showcase events throughout the region during the months of June and July with the highlight event being Perfect Game's WWBA National Championship at the East Cobb Complex in Marietta, GA. The Class of 2012 team (recent HS graduates) will be looking to play in the Maryland Collegiate Baseball League to give our players a jump start to there college baseball careers.

Steve Ballance - former Head Coach at Anne Arundel Community College, 2009 MD JUCO Coach of the Year

Steve Switala - former Assistant Coach at Anne Arundel Community College, part of the 2009 MD JUCO Coaching Staff of the Year

Ray Hart - played at McDaniel College, coach at Georgetown Preparatory School

Brett Daly - played at Sherwood High School, played at Mt Aloysius College (PA)

Jorge Pichardo - played at MC-Rockville and University of MD - Eastern Shore, former volunteer coach at University of MD - Eastern Shore

Hi Lefty,

I'm a parent of a boy who played on the fall showcase team. Unfortunately, I don't have the answers to your specific questions, though it seemed like we did win quite a lot of games.

However, I would be happy to answer any questions about our experience if that would be helpful. I will say that for us, it was very, very positive. My son LOVED the coaching and the other boys on the team, learned a lot, and very much enjoyed the experience. Feel free to send me a private message if I can be helpful at all.
