Don't count out Coppell and Keller. Both teams made the playoffs last year.

Southlake, Coppell, Keller, Guyer, Fossil Ridge and even Northwest all have returning, quality players that will help them battle for playoffs. So that's going to leave 2 good teams at home during the playoff run.

What??? exactly do you mean??? I have no idea what you could possibly be taking about relative to transfers. Maybe you're just pulling the Dragons chain...who knows.

From what I know SLC should have solid pitching once again this year. They did graduate every position starter from last year's team that went 13-1 to win the district except for one...5 of those guys are playing D1 ball now, so some big shoes to fill. That being said, SLC has a ton of athletes and will find a way to score some runs. Their top 5 State ranking in the preseason polls could be a bit lofty IMO, but look for them to be good and be right at the top of the district...they are a "no doubter" to make the playoffs.

I really don't have any clue as to what will happen this spring. However, if history is any indication of the future you have to beleive that Southlake, Coppell and Keller High will be in the hunt. I would guess that Guyer and maybe Fossil Ridge will also have something to say. I suspect that Fossil's success will be strongly be influenced by when Sheldon Neuse is on the mound. He throws in the nineties and in the class of 2013, I beleive he is ranked in the top ten in the nation by Perfect Games. He is also a very good position player but when he is not on the mound mu sense is that Fossil will have some challenges. Guyer has Cole Fiola and some other players who will probably make a big impact. Southlake has Ben Sego( Arkansas commit), Derrien McLemore, his father played for the Rangers and he is a UTA commit. They also have Jack Stone and I beleive Kenny Hill (QB of State championship team and son of a former MLB pitcher. I am sure there are also other players that will have an impact. Don't know much about Coppell except that they have a kid named Craig Aiken who is a Oklahoma State committ. Keller has a pitcher named Garett Grim who is a TCU committ and is throwing in the nineties, Matt Custred who is a Mclennan committ and is a hard throwing righty, Zacarias Hardy who is a Texas A and M commit outifielder and three other impact seniors, Chase Lee, Cameron Bonifant and Alex Maloney all who will likely be sighned by the end of the year.

Southlake is extremly talented but loosing Metzger and Maness were big loses to the team. No disrespect to the other teams becasue I do not know mmuch about them but I think you have to probably throw in Keller Central as a potential spoiler. In terms of Northwest, I can't recall when was the last time they made the playoffs so if they do well it will be a surpise.
