North vs. BG (BG).....way to close to call, but whoever
wins this wins the title

BG is the Champion

What do you guys think? I know there are some very bold predictions but I went by head-to-head and who is hotter down the stretch.

I think I am going to go to Merrimack vs. Keene on Saturday so we will see if that upset comes through!

First round games are Thursday 6/2

Quarterfinals are Saturday 6/4. The semis are 9th/10th with finals on 18th.

The Merri/Keene game starts at 430 according to NHIAA website.

Nashua North wins 3-1 over Timberlane to make the finals. Timberlane plays really good baseball. Very fundamental team, they battled, gave themselves a chance. North pitching is strong. Tough to have a D1 guy start and go 6, then have a guy come out of the pen throwing harder. North's staff will be 100% rested for the finals.

It was good ballgame.

2nd and 3rd no outs.....then coming away with nothing after the blown suicide squeeze and subsequent double play.... cost the Owls big time. It may have been a cinderella story.

Now, it will be tough to beat North's well rested staff in the championship.

North won it today, beating Concord 11-6. Concord jumped on Turner for 3 in the second, then North put up 6 in the third. Both teams kept the offense rolling, but when North pushed across 4 in the 5th the out counting started. Interesting moment in the 5th on a squeeze play. I thought it was a clean play and was watching the hitter because nobody was covering second... But words were exchanged and the benches looked like they might empty. Concord's catcher was ejected, not sure if any other players were. Concord loaded the bases with no outs in the 7th and down 11-5, but North only allowed one run.

Many congrats to the North players. We have a bunch of guys who train with us on the team and we had almost the entire team in the Hampshire Dome workouts this winter. It was great to see their hard work rewarded. Congrats to Coach Henderson and the Titans!
