We just got back from the 8 y/o Dizzy Dean World Series in Southaven, Mississippi. A great experience, 10 games with the best and most consistent umpiring I have ever experienced. It was still coach pitch, so no balls and strikes; but kudos go to the gentlemen in blue! Only two calls that I saw different than blue but right or wrong they had no bearing on the game. Season is over, can't waitr for next spring.

My son played in that tournament in 2003. We made it to the top 16 and I must say that thus far it was the best experience of his baseball career. He still has a Snowden Grove towel with over 50 pins that he traded for. Luckily we only live 2.5 hours south of there and make it a point to play there a couple of times each summer. Love that facility!
Glad you enjoyed it. Trust me, your gonna blink your eyes and your boy will be grown. Mine is a junior this year.
