There are posts on this forum that are more insightful than that summary. Goes to show you were DMN priorities are.

If Jerry Jones has indigestion, the DMN has team coverage with four articles and two coulmns. When HS baseball kicks off, they have four summaries listing players that my cousin in New Jersey has heard of.

It didn't take much homework to write those articles, did it? I think most of us could have done it in our spare time.

Ditto. You have to realize that for the most part, this board lives and breathes baseball 24/7/365. Didn't expect much from the DMN. Players noted in the article were deserving, but so are many others.

At least we have this board, insideprepbaseball, totaltexasbaseball, and others to get our fix.

That was good!!..

My kid's not good enough to be mentioned in the same breath as many of those players. He's a Punchin Judy..

That being said, I would have expected a better preview, more articles and segments .. I guess I'm just Bi***in..

Just be thankful you don't have the Houston Comicle. At least the DMN has had a baseball preview. We have had a good Softball preview and it should be a good season for the girls...but no baseball. There is a S***xr review/preview in today's fish wrap...but no baseball.

They always do theirs opening day - next Monday.

Funny, but don't quit your paying job. My boy is no where in the county of those boys, just thought there might some coverage of more than four or five teams.

Ditto!!!
The DMN preview accurately reflects the general popularity of high school baseball in North Texas - unfortunately. Take away the parents and grandparents at any given high school baseball game and how many fans would you have left in the stands?

This is Texas and you know what that means in regard to high school sports - it means there really is only ONE high school sport and we know what that one is.

Let's don't let our love of baseball and our year round devotion to the game and our boys cloud our thinking in regard to what the vast majority of sports fans around here think about HS baseball.

At least HS baseball is more popular than HS wrestling.
The review was light for sure but at this point I wish the coaches would at least provide the DMN with their Varsity Rosters to be posted in the High School section. Maybe if the coaches interacted with the paper more HS baseball wouuld get better coverage. One hand does need to wash the other.

Coppell, DeSoto and Naaman Forest all have their rosters posted in the HS Baseball section.....all mentioned in the preview. JMO
