Saw ? About them talking w HS coaches, wondering if someone on staff would also check potential recruits facebook, and other internet sights to see what they r putting on there. Have heard coaches tell "kids" to clean those up if needbe, just curious.

If I'm a college coach and I'm serious about choosing a player to invest 2-4 years of my time in and having him mesh with his new teammates, I would consider it a mistake not to go through due diligence. Today, that would include a peek at facebook along with character reference calls to his coach/s.
After my son signed with his college he stopped by and they had pictures of all incoming recruits on a poster board, and almost all the pictures were printed off Facebook.
I know of several coaches that have told me point blank, one-on-one, that they have stopped recruiting kids because of what they have seen posted on FB and Twitter. An example I just saw on Twitter was from OK State football coach Singleton where he specifically states he stopped recruiting a player just last week. His twitter account is @CoachSings if you want to see his post.
Every coach that we talked to had looked up 'first last baseball/year' in Google to look for information on son. (Another advantage of having a website). So, it's not just Facebook. I suggest you do the same search so you know what's likely to pop up.
Also, on visits, the current players that we were supposed to meet had already looked at stuff on Facebook, Youtube, and/or Google and had some comment about it during the visit. I would imagine they mentioned this to coaches as well.
Coaches check social media. Prospective employers also check social media. The best solution is don't participate unless its for positive purposes.
