Eastside Panther,

As a UT grad and mother of an OU RHP/OF, I can tell you it was really weird to suddenly become an OU fan when my son signed with OU. I never would have thought that would ever happen. I haven't burned any of my UT stuff but it has been put away in the closet for awhile at least. It's funny how your school loyalty can change overnight when your child is involved. Wink
Yes, it looks like he will be there this fall....he is getting kind of used to being in Oklahoma in the Fall (and Spring)....he will be a senior this next year.

Panther Dad, you have awakened some very fond memories for me by mentioning the Plano Cannons. I also remember the Dallas Stallions before that. We made lots of road trips to the Dallas area in those days. So how did you know when my son played for the Cannons?
OU Mom -- PantherSon II is a former Cannon -- during their first year of existence -- and subsequently played against Ryan as a member of the Plano East Panthers (HS summer team). They had one particularly memorable game at Norman before RM was even dreaming of OU. See, it's a small baseball world. BTW, that PE Panthers team also had Joseph Hughes as its CF/LHP. Cool
Panther Dad,

Your baseball memories are definitely better than mine. I do remember Ryan playing CF in a game for the Cannons at OU's stadium. He thought the speakers in the OF beyond the centerfield wall were just awesome because the music was so loud, lol.

BTW, Ryan shared an apartment this past year with Joseph Hughes and OU's former shortstop, Aaron Reza. Those guys are both awesome young men.
