There was a great game played in BBI this past Wednesday night. The Dallas Dodgers 16 vs. Dallas Tigers 16 (Ingram). The only bad thing is it ended in a 2-2 tie. Apparantly BBI has a 7 inning OR 2 hour time limit rule with no extra innings allowed if 7 innings have been played and the 2 hour time limit has run out.

Blake Beavan (hope I got than spelling right) pitched for the Tigers and James Parsons pitched for the Dodgers. Both pitchers did an excellent job but Parsons stole the show. He pitched a complete 7 inning game giving up 2 runs (1 earned I think). I believe Beavan pitched 6 1/3 innings before he was taken out. Baserunning mistakes cost both teams the opportunity to win the game outright.

This leaves both teams undefeated in BBI play with one tie. DBAT has lost to both the Dodgers and the Tigers.

Again, congratulations to Parsons. In my opinion he outpitched the much more heralded Beavan (although Beavan pitched a good game too).

If you are insinuating that I am Parson's parent you are dead wrong. I am a Dodgers parent (Brian Shore). But I was at the game and saw the performance by both pitchers. Parsons stayed in the game for a masterful complete game performance - he was the best of three good pitchers in my opinion.

I really don't know why you are so super-sensitive to that statement.
The Dodgers are a good team, much improved. I have been saying that even before the Summer. Everyone thought I was crazy when I put them in my top 5. But IMO they are still the third or 4th best in the Dallas area. I will be watching to see who their pickup players will be. It will be an exiting post season to see what happens at the 16U level for state and regionals.
Parsons is from Wylie. He is a right hander who has three good pitches - FB, curve, and a slider. He keeps the ball down really good. Their other primary pitchers are Jason Simonek (Rowlett), Brian Shore (Longview Pine Tree), and Khris Tate (Carthage). There are several others that pitch also but those are the four that get most of the starts.

As far as record, it is approximately 20-3 - I do know the losses were to the Tulsa ??, Houston Heat, and McKinney Mavericks.

As far as the DFW area, some of the teams of note that they have beaten are DBAT, Mustangs (Wortham), Patriots Blue, and Tigers (Ingram).

I do know that they all hope they get the chance to play the Tigers again. The Tigers probably were the best team they have played this season so far. Those guys know how to play too.

I don't know anything about any of the personel for either team, but it just seemed that a comment suggesting that one kid did much better than the other insults the "other".

Like a said, don't anything about either kid, just thought it could have been worded a little different to benefit both kids better.

Not super-sensitive, just bored I guess. Sorry.

Panthers have a solid team, hit the ball well. Talking to a couple of dads, they just might be a little short when it comes to quality pitching.

We ended up beating them 6-2 in a game with some bombs hit by Mike Marshall of the Heat. Two balls into the Road at UTA. Josh Choate also had a HR.

We won the second game 8-4 against the Wizards.

Long hot weekend,................
Just for the record: The Dallas Dodgers have not beaten the Dallas Tigers (Ingram)!

The record to date is:

Dallas Tigers 2 Wins & 1 Tie.

As for the rematch between Parsons vs Beavan well that happened Friday July 15th where both teams started different pitchers, Green for Tigers and Simonek for the Dodgers they both pitched 6 innings with a 2-2 tie (how ironic)then Beavan and Parsons were brought in and the game went another 6 innings with the Tigers coming out on top in the top of the 12th with 3 runs and holding the Dodgers to 1 run in the bottom of the 12th.

Regional final was 11-2 Tigers.

Good luck to the Dodgers in State, they are a good team.
