I see PBR comments where they mention specific outings a player had. Do they show up at regular HS or travel games just to evaluate players that are on their lists already?

I know they do regularly attend HS games in NC. I would imagine they would not show up if they didn't already know of a prospect playing or a top level team was playing in the game but that is just my assumption...may not be a fact.
in IL and WI they do, I have seen them at my sons games and others ,sometimes they will write notes and post them and other times they just take notes ,they always have the radar and stopwatch on hand for the most part, most of the time they are there to see someone at the game, then someone else might stands out to them.
They do in Oklahoma as well
Yes. I've seen them at a lot of IL games, normally the tougher match-ups throughout the season. They also follow on Gamechanger and team twitter feeds to gather "intel"...
In the DFW area, Triple Play Tournaments has teamed up with PBR to have PBR scouts attend all of their tournaments. Triple Play even has a blank roster page they ask coaches to fill out so that PBR can scout the team and individual players on each team. According to PBR, it will publish content and scouting notes on its website within a week of the tournaments. This is the first year for this partnership, so we will have to see how it works out, but it seems like some added value for the teams attending those tournaments.
I can only speak for Ohio. PBR in Ohio has been around quite awhile...5 or 6 years for sure, maybe a few years longer. They do go to as many HS games as they can. They have guys throughout the state who take in regular season games. The guy in my area is a good friend. He is at games almost every night during the week. Typically he'll go to the "best game" available in the area....but will also go to other games if there's a kid that they want to see. They do pretty thorough write ups of these games....and don't just write about kids who have been at PBR events. My son's team was good his junior and senior years and one kid who never attended a showcase throughout HS actually ended up at a D1 after the area PBR guy saw him and got the word out to some coaches. He was a senior who had basically no D1 interest and ended up signing after his senior year in HS ended.
son got a message from them the other day asking when he was pitching next, i don't know if that meant they were planning on coming out or seeing if they could, or just planning on looking at his game changer stats again- it didn't matter either way because that game got rained out, as did today's. Looks like we might even have a "snow-out" this weekend. Tell me again why i'm still living in the midwest?
PBR sent my son a Twitter DM asking when he was pitching and they came out, saw him and wrote him and about 3 other players up.
Yes for Ark, too. They've reported pitcher velo, catcher pop times, time to first, etc., from such games as well.
They follow high school ball in Colorado as well, but rarely venture away from Denver or (occasionally) Colorado Springs.
I have yet to see PBR in the high school season over the last 3 years.
I know the same guys cover Kansas and Missouri. They attend more of the private school match ups in both states and the stronger programs that have made it to the state tourney at various levels.
So the answer is yes, if your on one of the top 20 teams from 1A to 6A.
Yes for the PBR team in VA/DC. They are at games seemingly every evening. They announce on Twitter in advance where they will be, then tweet scouting notes, pitching velos, game results, etc. In addition, they post video clips on Twitter and also will do live shots on Periscope. Thereafter, they do scouting reports on specific players of interest which can be accessed on their website.
I've been generally impressed with PBR in Wisconsin & Illinois. I've heard people complain about PBR being biased towards the bigger academies and travel programs but I don't think that is true at all. Quite the opposite actually in that they seem fair and just look for talent wherever it comes from
And yes they go out and scout games
