My son composed his first letter of interest to coaches & sent some out yesterday. This morning there is a reply from 'Scott Jackson asst. coach at UNC'. There is an info form attached & the email asks that he fill it out & mail it back. It is addressed to him specifically but I doubt anyone actually read his email so quickly. UNC is a serious school, & I'm sure receives thousands of emails. Should my son fill this out or just assume it is an automated reply because he sent an email?

Coach Jackson is the coach that handles the recruiting for UNC. Attending a camp is not something you have to do to be recruited by UNC. They will start a file on anyone that contacts them and returns the questionaires. There are many ways for your son to be seen by the staff. Camps of course , showcase events , WWBA events such as East Cobb , etc etc. From the information you send in there will be people the staff can contact to gather more information on your son. If you are interested and you send in the information thats a start. Good luck.
