Very unique mechanics. His leg kick is high but that doesn't cause him to lose balance. My son's leg kick is about the same (we compared) but instead of twisting his body, Zack's body is balanced and straight up and down. Funny, we have discussed Dontrelle's mechanics in detail and modified Zack's pitch to be more balanced so he doesn't have to twist across his body. Nonetheless, it is a powerful and different pitch approach. And I do agree, wouldn't want most youngsters to copy him, but look where Dontrelle is, and it doesn't appear to cause him any problems.

I love his delivery....if anyone tries to change him up they should be fired! To many pitchers have the same delivery. Its refreshing to see a little deception.
