Cool! Re: the changeup comment, our own Cy Young candidate JOHAN SANTANA is another one whose changeup may be the most outstanding tool in his arsenal. Way to go Johan with another Twins win today, taking the series against Detroit 3-1 to keep the playoff drive going strong!!!


P.S. Yes, I know the batter is turned around backward and cannot see the pitch coming. I like it that way. Because I am a POP.

Hubby went to game and came back he was amazed at all the off speed stuff. D wanted to go as far as he could without getting too tired. I told him he missed his interview that he had no choice but to rely on off speed as the Phillies were too good with everything else in teh first tow games.

The reason I dwell on it, teach your young pitchers to rely on the CU, because sooner or later those older guys can hit just about anything you give them. You got to fool them with your off speed! And of course that comes from a POP!!!!

TPM - good lesson with the change-up, but do you have to rub it in ???!!!
