Was watching a 10u game yesterday waiting for my son's 13u team to play and one inning ended with a strange play.
Two outs and a runner on third, batter swings at strike three in the dirt and the ball gets away from the catcher up the first base line. BR sort of freezes and R3 is already on his way home and touches the plate well before the catcher tagged BR. Does the run count? Or is this a "force" out and the run doesn't count?
