Since my nephew separated his shoulder last a year ago he developed a pretty noticable swing flaw. Just prior to contact his head tilts back forcing his back shoulder to drop. This tends to elevate his swing plane. Pitches that he should be handling often end up as weak grounders to the opposite field.
To visualize this flaw... it's like somebody who's pinning a telephone receiver between their right ear and right shoulder.
His coaches have pointed out the problem and my nephew is well aware of it, but he doesn't know quite how to go about fixing it. Are there any drills that will reteach him to keep his head level/upright at contact?
