Zimmerman and Wright are good looking youngsters with quite a future and potential in front of them! Braun (AAA) is not far behind when and if he gets called up.

However, it's a tad early (after 1 1/2 years) to post such an interesting statement ...
and to add "Without a doubt"

hmmmm

Ho Jo had great years with the Met's.
(But maybe you didn't notice? Will Wright win a HR batting title....like Ho Jo did for the Mets? ....Probably not.)

Do you also consider "in your book" Ken Boyer or Robin Ventura.

"Best third sacker ever!"......lol

Check back in 2010.

hmmm must be that new math I'm reading about.
Boswell wears his ring and proudly, yet played
41 regular season games in eight years w/ the Miracle Mets....so he was considered more of a middle type of guy than a corner.

I did like Garrett.....sort of. Has the second most highest games for the Mets at 3rd. (next to Ho Jo). It's not surprising H. Brooks and Alfonzo not mentioned, since finished ahead of fifth most games at 3b with Robin!

I do remember Shamsky, but more so after the Redlegs shortened there name. It was thru Hodges. Yet the Met's OF I remember most is my friend Rocky. (And true Miracle Mets fan know.)

But then, as RW tells us, You Can't Fix Stupid!

LOL

Bear - you have the sense of humor of a rock.

As for Kenny - I think I watched just about every game he ever played for the NY Mets (at one point he held the NL record for most consecutive games at 2B without an error.)

Thanks for the refresher course though LOL

P.S. Shamsky would eat Brooks Robinson's lunch - The Shammer never played 3B - but if he did - the Shammer would have been golden baby!

Put Art in the HOF. LOL

It must be an inside JOKE.

I Don't Know Who Shamsky Is, I'm Sorry if he was a great one.

Of course you Met's Fan's are alway's trying to make someone a SUPERSTAR. LOL

the EH
Shamsky was also a partner with Phil Linz in a 'Bar" on Queens Blvd in NY which I was fortunate to book the entertainment for way back when. Last I knew Phil was selling insuracne--don't know where Shamsky is though

As for the Brewers add me to the list of fans-- and your next catcher Angel Salome is a few shirt years away from the big time with them--you are going to love his game.

Not too early for GEORGE to begin grumbling--to make it even worse the Mets are in First place as well in the same town and the Mets also unveiled plans for a new stadium

BEAR

By the way the Mets have never had a great third sacker--HOJO was good but not great--wright is the real deal pal and for years to come
True story, at least I Believe it to be a True Story.

Speaking of Great Third Baseman. Besides Brooks Robinson.

There was Myself, the EH.

When I was 8 Playing PeeWee, or was that 28 Playing FastPitch Softball.
Anyway, Either Or My Dad was there watching!!

And the EH Playing the Hot Corner.
There was a Hard Hit Line Shot down the Line.
No Normal Average 3rd Baseman ever could of got to it.
The EH dive's to his Right side, Backhand's the Ball.
And in One Fluid Motion, Set's his Back Leg and Throw's the Runner out at First by Half a Step.

Feeling good about Myself.
And out of the Crowd, I Hear this Familiar Voice.
My Dad say, LOOK WHAT I FOUND!!

Some Players might have been Upset.

But not the EH, Because He Knew.

That Deep Down, WAY DEEP DOWN HIS DADDY THOIGHT.

THAT'S MY BOY!!!

Good topic, Tr...hopefully Griffey can go through the season without a major injury.

Prior and Wood have really battled injuries also...don't know if guys like Maddox and Zambrano can hold everything together until they make it back.

Wright may be a very good one for the Mets, he definitely can be one of the best 3B's they've had.

Do you think Clemens pitches this year? I'm guessing he finishes his career with Boston.
