Any updates to the Eastern Region match-ups?

Is there a gate fee for games tomorrow? if so how much?

 

Yes, it will cost you $7.00 for all day.

What day and time is the finals game?

Championship game is Thursday at 6PM.

Does anyone know who pitched for Great Bridge?

GB 4R, 3H, 2E

 

Both pitchers did very well today at ODU.  GB struck first in the first inning on a leadoff walk, an infield error by Landstown and then a 2 run triple by C.Cody.  He was driven in by a K.Mathews sac fly.  3 runs on 1 hit.  After that it was a pitchers duel with both Jones and Sinniger retiring 10 in a row..Sinniger from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th while Jones got the 3rd, 4th and 5th. 

 

GB got their last run with 2 outs in the 5th on a walk to D.Smith, and then on a hit and run (or steal and hit) by GB.  Hinkle's single to rf scored Smith who never stopped running.  Landstown got their lone run in the 6th on a leadoff walk to Mendenhall, wild pitch to second, two flyouts to right field with no advance by the runner and then an infield error scoring the runner from second.

Two triples lead to two Kellam runs.

Kellam wins 4-3 and will face Woodside of Wednesday.

kurt the hitting machine had 2 triples while his brother sam pitched a great game.  grassfield played very good also the best game of the day

Eight errors for the Comets.

The bats in south Chesapeake have been hibernating the last couple of weeks.  Too good of a hitting team to be as quiet as they've been.  They need to get the bats moving if they are going to go deep in the state tournament.

Any word on the Kellam game?

kellam does not have a hit. Eight walks and a hit batter. Both runs were bases loaded walks.

Sam Sinnen went deep for a solo homerun to leadoff the sixth.

Woodside gets a sacrifice from Seth Woodard and a single from Austin Rouleau to pull within one.

Well, assuming this game finishes with Kellam on top we will get the final match up that we all want and expected. Would love to be there.

I could be mistaken, but I believe the Eastern Region is paired with the Central this year in round 1.  At home or on the road, facing a Cosby, Hanover, James River, will present its challenges.

9-3 Great Bridge in the bottom of the 5th.  It was only a matter of time before those bats got going.

Kellam storming back.  Down 1 in the bottom of the 6th and still hitting.
