My expierence with ECTB has been mixed over the past 5 years. They used to be East Coast Tournament Baseball but have recently changed their name to something similar still using the ECTB initals. They kinda hooked up with AAU somehow within the past 18 months or so. Terry Schrader is the CEO and has always been pretty upfront with dealings I have had with ECTB over the years.

The tryouts you are refering to are for the USA Baseball Junior Olympics which is a 16-U National Tournament held in FL & AZ each June.

Very worthwhile competition at very nice facilities and a nice resume piece for any prospective college recruit.

My son went to the Junior Olympics in FL in 2003 with another team not associated with ECTB. I did see the ECTB team there. I believe 2003 was the first year ECTB entered a team at the JR Olympics.

They have a website and I am sure Mr. Schrader would respond to any questions you may have about their organization. You could go to the USA baseball site and click on the Junior Olympics and see how the ECTB team did this past summer.

I beleive they now also field a team at the World Wood Bat October tournament in Jupiter.
