I can’t see that there is any point being made in the OP by Francis. It is an open ended question. It sounds to me that the parallels you are attempting to make are your own - not his.

Simply put, baseball is not important at those schools and those conferences. I would bet that most schools in those conferences aren’t fully funded. In the shortened 2020 season the best record in the MAAC was 6-8, and the overall conference record was 35-121-1. If you attend one of those schools it should be for reasons other than baseball. The best HS teams in Texas, Florida, California & Georgia would quite likely be better than the 8 schools Francis listed.

HBCU's always have funding challenges, as you are aware it goes further than baseball.

Overall athletic budgets are small compare to other colleges
