Just returned from Eastern Illinois University's Christmas Camp. It was very well run and organized, as the three days went by rather quickly and they covered everything.

Carlos Rivera (OF-'07) ran a 6.7 60 yard dash and is finally 100% while Victor Rodriguez (SS/P-'08) impressed all with his middle infield play and his pitching. Tough to find that kind of speed and Rivera definitely is a diamond in the rough...too bad for the torn thigh muscle he had all summer. Someone will benefit.

Definitely recommend anyone in attending any EIU camp in the future. Saw a couple of kids from Geneva, St. Charles East and both Naperville schools.

I apologize, Rivera and Rodriguez both are East Aurora kids. Any suggestions or any contacts that may help Rivera land somewhere? He is a academic and financial aid qualifier with decent grades.

Being that we are not even close to a baseball power at East Aurora, these two kids have not gotten the exposure they deserve. They are legit, ask anyone, and I would just like to do all I can to help get them to the next level...In baseball and to be better prepared for life with a collge education.

Any help is appreciated. Happy New Year to all and be safe!
