Batter hits pop up to F3, about 15' down the first base line between home and first. F3 is straddling the line attempting to catch the pop up when batter/runner absolutely levels him. I'm talking lowered shoulder to the mid-section, laid out, down for the count. It looked to me like the runner made a point of making sure he took out F3, who was stationary and not moving across the baseline or creating a difficult situation for the runner to avoid him.

Call on the field was batter out, no ejection.

I'm not a fan of ejections for contact plays unless it is intentional or malicious. I thought this was per 3.3.1.n.

Realize you can't comment on what you didn't see, but what do you usually look for in making a decision on a play that involves contact?
