Game was delayed 2 hours in the bottom of the 4th due to weather.

Marcus was behind 6-1 and tied it up leading into the bottom of the 7th.

Game 2 Saturday at 11am.

Best of luck to Marcus tomorrow. I hope they build on tonight's close game and win two tomorrow.

EP Socorro advances with the sweep. Today's final was 11-5. Errors plagued Marcus and EP can just flat out hit.

Congrats to Marcus on a great run and for being the final team standing in a very strong 6-5A district. Marcus losses a boatload of seniors but retains one heck of a Coach in Funneldrill.

I wasn't able to go to this series but listened to it on the net and I have to say I don't think I will ever be able to listen to "who let the dogs out" ever again the same way.

Kudos, to Funnel and his staff, on a great season. It probably did not last quite as long as they wanted, however with a ton of young talent, there should be many more years of success to follow.

Did Marcus throw any southpaws against EP Soccoro? That's what they'll see from Westlake, both #1 and #2 are lefties.

Westlake had three one game series in the first five rounds.

It won't matter they'll sit up there and flip close pitches off and wait for the pitcher to make a mistake, In my seven years of watching high school playoff basebal there the best hitting group I've seen.... just my two cents
