If he can make it down to Kerlan-Jobe ask for Dr. El Attrache. When a radiologist told us my son had a tendon tear we asked who the best was for a tendon tear and the people at Kerlan-Jobe referred us to El Attrache. He figured out pretty quickly that there wasn't a tear in the tendon and treated the problem conservatively. Many top athletes with tendon problems have gone to him and they've had good results from the surgery he's done.

Tom Brady, Kurt Warner, Klitschko, Dodgers, etc.

He was also the one who, along with my son's other doctor, recommended the PRP approach for Takashi Saito that allowed him to finish that last season for the Dodgers without surgery.

Many knowledgeable baseball people in northern California think that one of the top 'baseball' orthopedic surgeons is Dr. Kenneth Akizuki. He is a partner is Sports Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Medicine Associates, in San Francisco. Dr. Akizuki is also the San Francisco Giants organization's orthopedic surgeon for their players. He's a top Tommy John guy, great with elbows. You can reach his office at (415) 387-4900 or at www.soarmedical.com

I've got pretty extensive experience with him, as I know 6 or 7 players, my own son included, who he has operated on, and every one of them has had a very good outcome.
