Just curious whats the cutoff for grades at your/sons high school

Ours is a D.Once you get a D you are on academic probation. In other words you have 1 weeks to raise that grade or you are ineligable.

Luckily this isnt something I have to worry about. We recieved Report Cards today and I have a 3.4

Just curious

Ours is two 'F' grades when grades are checked each week. If an athlete has two, he/she is then ineligeble Monday thru Sunday. Grade checks are done on Friday, but aren't in effect until Monday.

It used to be that you had to be passing a certain number of hours, but they changed that last year I think, because there were people who would have a schedule allowing them to be passing the 20 hours or whatever, but still be failing more than a couple classes.
Minimum acceptable here is a C- average with no failing grades. Waiver may be allowed if the student can prove extenuating circumstances, but they must apply in writing and the decision of the school's athletic director is final.

Son's baseball coaches hold the team to a higher standard. Average can be no lower than a C and all players are required to turn in an academic performance report, every week, on which teachers note grades, any homework issues, and any comments on behaviour and attitude.
