Question for the experts here. Say a kid who has been identified as a sure D1 prospect and has proved himself his freshman and sophomore years at the varsity level is not eligible to play his junior season. What is going on in the minds of those recruiting him? Is D1 still an option after he gets his classes in order? Will he definitely have to go the JUCO route? Has this happened before to anyone you know?

Super nice kid who had a lot of personal issues to deal with outside of school this past term and it affected big time.

Could definitely be a spring signing if he gets things in order soon. Juco is a solid option but don't count out a spring signing if the kid is the real deal on the field. Many people like to assume, give opinions and sometimes give up on others when things aren't going smoothly. For the most part talent will always rule out and afford you another chance. Good luck to your friend and hopefully he can get things in order. Never give up on a dream and especially a possible opportunity.
