From Jimmy Pitt to Jim McCandless, SP has always been a classy organization and the program by which every other AA County team measures their program. Adding Coach Milton is just another step in continuing that tradition and expectation. The only people who could be upset with this are the ones that will have to play Severna Park, because the program just continues to get stronger!

And the pitchers at Maryland who are losing him! When Bakich left I was under the impression that he didn't want the head coaching position at Maryland because of the time commitment, which I can understand. I guess the time commitment to coach HS is so much less that this is completely different?

Anyone have any insight as to why he turned down the Maryland job but took the SP job?

So you think if the university had the money, he would have taken the job? I was thinking it was more because it's a full-time, year-round job, and that at this point in his life he just doesn't want that kind of commitment. A public HS coaching job is January-May, much less travel, etc.
