I sure got to see his best today at Sunken Diamond.
With Mom and Dad in attendance, ED beat #1 ranked ASU. Threw a complete game 5 hitter.
Stanford played great and showed they are back in the top names nationally.
In the 6th, with runners on 1st and 2nd and no outs, "9" came to the mound. Not sure what he said, but Erik struck out the 5/6 hitters and got the next one to ground to 3rd and out of the inning.
ED was terrific!! Just terrific!! So was every Stanford player player in the lineup.
For Mr. and Mrs. justbaseball, two of the nicest, kindest and fairest parents/baseball parents I have ever met, this is a very nice day that I know will be one to put in the memory book.

Unbelievable accomplishment by the young man.

Everyone agrees that ASU is the #1 team. If it were my son, I know we would discuss the fact that he beat the #1 team in the country. Of course, if you beat the #1 team, by logical extension, you very well might possess #1 type of talent in order to win a game like that. Nobody can win a bigger game than that
What a lucky day for me. Everyone in the family had something to do. So I decide to go to the game alone. Driving to Sunken diamond had the radio on to the game. Announcer mentions all the sports happening today and that parking is a real bear. I show up and get a parking spot very close to the entrance. On my way to the ticket window a gentle man offered me a ticket for free in section 6 right behind home plate. He was dressed out in ASU gear. I watch ED pitch a fantastic game and beat the #1 team in the nation. It was cool to see how pumped he was when the final out was made. Not to mention several Stanford homeruns and an unbelieble catch by the right fielder. All in all a lucky day for me at the ball park. Needless to say on the way home I stopped and bought a lottery ticket. Congratulations to ED for a great outing.
