Ok I have read the rules pertaining to errors on pitchers and catchers and have a couple of questions.
Pitcher delivers a pitch and ball is bunted back to him on the ground, the pitcher then makes a wild throw to first and runner advances to 2nd. Ok assuming that the ball would have beaten the runner if thrown properly. Is this an error? What if the runner stays at first?
Ok my understanding is once the pitcher delivers a pitch and a ball is hit he becomes a fielder and can be awarded an error.
