IEBSBL- While this article does shed some light on some of the mechanical flaws that are prevalent in relation to the surgery itself, I don't believe it is a groundbreaking piece at all. In fact, the majority of the information provided has been well known by many in the industry for a while now. One thing I would like to point out is that Strasburg's mechanics, while certainly not perfect, are definitely not "near-disaster" like described. I also didn't like the Maddux/Strasburg comparison at all...that's like comparing apples to oranges. They have different bodies and different pitching styles. I'd rather see Nolan Ryan vs. Strasburg, or even someone recent like Verlander.
