What does "Upside to his game" mean in a scouting report/evaluation? I notice that term used alot in the reports released for the recent PG Pitcher/Catcher Camp. It sounds like a positive thing, but just wondering exactly what it means because sometimes I THINK I know what something in a report is saying and then it turns out I am WAY OFF ha ha

Sometimes it means the same thing as projectable; that the scout could see him continuing to improve and fill out.

It could also mean that he has some flaws but that in general he looks like he's got what it takes.
painguy is right. Typically a coach or scout will use the term "upside" to indicate that this particular player has potential and that he could be a top-notch player down the road. It also is used in comparison; some kids are about as good as their physical talent will allow them to be at a young age....and therefore they don't have the ability to get much better.
Sometimes coaches will use the term "high ceiling" for the same thing - the kid has room to grow.
