It is good for parents and players to fully understand that coaches when evaluating a player look at more than simply the BA ---Nick Johnson of the NY Yankees, he hits #2 in their everyday lineup, his hitting .000 but has an OB % of over .400--a #2 hitter in the lineup who is getting on base better than 400% of the time is doing the job even if the BA says he isn't--just food for thought
